Oklahoma has for a long time been synonymous with Bingo. That’s because the American Indian tribes of Oklahoma have operated Bingo sessions for ages. Patrons from all of the nearby states get in trucks and head over to Oklahoma to play Bingo for the weekends.

The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act was introduced after a benchmark determination by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. From that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Amerindian tribes located in Oklahoma have established bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Indian band to take advantage of the gaming laws, and today operate 10 gambling halls of their very own. Bingo is the game on which these gambling halls were founded. Electronic games like slots were not permitted, due to the fact that they’re thought to contribute to gambling dependency more than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma law has changed to allow for large Indian gaming gambling halls. You’ll now find Amerindian gambling halls with one armed bandits, video poker and vingt-et-un tables. Craps and roulette are not yet authorized in the Amerindian gambling dens as of yet, however this is simply a matter of time. No one can authority what having other gambling hall games in the bingo parlors will do for the draw of bingo.
